We recommend the specialized book “Artemia – the crustacean of primitive times” by Oliver Drewes, published by VIVARIA editions. The book, illustrated with numerous photos taken under a microscope and drawings, describes the seven species of Artemia identified in the current state of knowledge. After a description of the special breeding biology, the most successful breeding systems are indicated. A comprehensive chapter “Artemia in the Aquarium” provides practical advice, e.g. to increase the hatching rate as well as the survival rate of nauplii and brine shrimp.
