It can be combined with a pH controller like the SMS 122 for a supply of CO2 for a limestone reactor or for fresh water (planted aquarium).

For planted aquariums you can also use a timer so that it switches off the solenoid valve at night, the plants absorb carbon dioxide only during the day.
